Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Posted on | March 17, 2009 |
Put something green on you! Traditionally associated with the Shamrock, a three-leaved plant, which Saint Patrick (one of the patron saints of Ireland) used to explain the concept of the Trinity; it has become part of the celebration wearing something green on this particular day.
And enjoy a good beer, an Irish coffee or Baileys Irish Cream in a pub tonight to celebrate this annual feast day of Saint Patrick, celebrated all over the world by Irish descents and increasingly by non-Irish people; Catholic or not.
And as every year on St. Patrick’s Day, the Chicago River has been dyed green this week-end.
